Cosmetics registration updates in China: NMPA released Administrative Measures on Cosmetics Registration and Filing, which will come into force on 1st May 2021.
China’s first departmental regulation specifically for cosmetics registration and filing management is actually much looser than the draft for comments. One of the changes worth noting is that imported cosmetics do not require additional research and testing, so the product’s market cycle and cost will not increase.
