Am 22. April 2021 ver\u00f6ffentlichte die EFSA Teil 2 ihrer Leitlinien zur Datumskennzeichnung und damit verbundenen Lebensmittelinformationen. Dieser wurde am 10. M\u00e4rz 2021 vom Gremium f\u00fcr biologische Gefahren der EFSA angenommen und bildet den zweiten Teil des wissenschaftlichen Gutachtens der EFSA, dessen erster Teil zur Datumskennzeichnung am 2. Dezember 2020 ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde.<\/p>\n

Dieser Leitfaden konzentriert sich auf Verbraucherinformationen zu Lagerbedingungen, Verzehrsfristen nach dem \u00d6ffnen und Auftauverfahren. Er enth\u00e4lt einen Entscheidungsbaum, der Lebensmittelunternehmen bei der Entscheidung unterst\u00fctzt, ob zus\u00e4tzliche Informationen zu Lagerbedingungen und Verzehrsfristen nach dem \u00d6ffnen der Verpackung angebracht sind. Bew\u00e4hrte Verfahren zum Auftauen von Lebensmitteln werden ebenfalls vorgestellt. Dieses Tool hilft bei der Entscheidung, ob f\u00fcr ein Lebensmittelprodukt das Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum oder das Verbrauchsdatum verwendet werden soll.<\/p>\n

Die Datumsangabe gibt Aufschluss dar\u00fcber, wie lange Lebensmittel haltbar sind, bevor sie verderben oder f\u00fcr den Verzehr ungenie\u00dfbar werden. Klare Informationen auf Verpackungen sind auch ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Bek\u00e4mpfung der Lebensmittelverschwendung in der EU.<\/p>\n
