Dezember 2021 bekannt, dass es beabsichtigt, vorzuschlagen, \u201eAcacia (Gummi arabicum)\u201c, auch bekannt als Akaziengummi, in die Definition von Ballaststoffen der FDA aufzunehmen.<\/p>\n<p>Bis die FDA die Vorschriften zur Aufnahme zus\u00e4tzlicher Ballaststoffe in die gesetzliche Definition von Ballaststoffen abgeschlossen hat, beabsichtigt die Beh\u00f6rde, den Herstellern ihren Ermessensspielraum bei der Durchsetzung zu lassen, damit diese die Menge dieser zus\u00e4tzlichen Ballaststoffe in die Ballaststoffdeklaration auf den Etiketten mit den N\u00e4hrwert- und Erg\u00e4nzungsinformationen aufnehmen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hintergrund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zu den Ballaststoffen, die auf den N\u00e4hrwert- und Erg\u00e4nzungsstoffetiketten aufgef\u00fchrt werden k\u00f6nnen, z\u00e4hlen bestimmte nat\u00fcrlich vorkommende Ballaststoffe, die in Pflanzen \u201eintrinsisch und intakt\u201c sind, sowie zugesetzte isolierte oder synthetische unverdauliche l\u00f6sliche und unl\u00f6sliche Kohlenhydrate, die nach Feststellung der FDA physiologische Auswirkungen haben, die der menschlichen Gesundheit zugute kommen.<\/p>\n<p>Die FDA hat in ihrer endg\u00fcltigen Verordnung zur N\u00e4hrwertkennzeichnung von 2016 eine Definition f\u00fcr Ballaststoffe festgelegt. Basierend auf den verf\u00fcgbaren Beweisen hat die FDA festgestellt, dass wissenschaftliche Belege belegen, dass Gummi arabicum zur Senkung des Blutzucker- und Insulinspiegels beitragen kann, wenn es zusammen mit einer Mahlzeit verzehrt wird, die kohlenhydrathaltige Substanzen enth\u00e4lt, die den Blutzuckerspiegel erh\u00f6hen.<\/p>\n<p>Mit dieser aktuellen Mitteilung zu Gummi arabicum werden 18 Kategorien unverdaulicher Kohlenhydrate (einschlie\u00dflich einer breiten Kategorie gemischter Pflanzenzellwandfasern) entweder in die Definition von Ballaststoffen aufgenommen oder es handelt sich um unverdauliche Kohlenhydrate, deren Aufnahme in die Definition von Ballaststoffen die FDA vorschlagen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n<p>Sieben dieser Ballaststoffe wurden in der endg\u00fcltigen Regelung zur N\u00e4hrwertkennzeichnung als Ballaststoff definiert. Bis die FDA die Vorschriften zur Aufnahme weiterer Ballaststoffe in die gesetzliche Definition von Ballaststoffen abgeschlossen hat, beabsichtigt die Beh\u00f6rde, den Herstellern die Angabe der Menge dieser zus\u00e4tzlichen Ballaststoffe in der Ballaststoffdeklaration auf den N\u00e4hrwert- und Erg\u00e4nzungskennzeichnungen zu erm\u00f6glichen.
