Nach dem Brexit m\u00fcssen essbare Insektenprodukte den vollst\u00e4ndigen Zulassungsprozess in Gro\u00dfbritannien durchlaufen, um auf dem Markt bleiben zu k\u00f6nnen. Die Food Standards Agency (FSA)<\/a> plant, diese Produkte auf dem Markt zu lassen, w\u00e4hrend sie das Zulassungsverfahren f\u00fcr neuartige Lebensmittel durchlaufen.<\/div>\n

Die FSA erkl\u00e4rte, dass die \u00dcbergangsregelung in Gro\u00dfbritannien weiterhin gilt. Im n\u00e4chsten Schritt plant die FSA, die notwendigen Gesetzes\u00e4nderungen so schnell wie m\u00f6glich umzusetzen. Sie ruft Unternehmen au\u00dferdem dazu auf, Kommentare abzugeben und die Unterst\u00fctzung zu geben, die sie w\u00e4hrend des Prozesses ben\u00f6tigen.<\/div>\n

In der Zwischenzeit f\u00fchrten die FSA und die FSS eine allgemeine Risikobewertung f\u00fcr essbare Insektenprodukte durch. Sie kamen zu dem Ergebnis, dass die mit essbaren Insektenprodukten verbundenen Sicherheitsrisiken gering sind, sofern geeignete Ma\u00dfnahmen getroffen werden.<\/div>\n

Die FSA-Studie zeigt, dass bei den Verbrauchern in Gro\u00dfbritannien ein zunehmendes Interesse an und eine steigende Nachfrage nach gesunder, nachhaltiger Ern\u00e4hrung besteht, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf Fleischalternativen liegt, und dass \u00fcber ein Viertel (26%) der britischen Verbraucher bereit w\u00e4re, essbare Insekten zu essen \u2013 wobei Umweltbedenken oder Nachhaltigkeit die h\u00e4ufigsten Gr\u00fcnde daf\u00fcr sind.<\/div>\n
