Der Environmental Defense Fund (EDF)<\/a> und mehrere andere Gruppen haben bei der US-amerikanischen Food and Drug Administration (FDA) eine Petition eingereicht, in der sie die Aufhebung der Farbstoffzusatzverordnung bez\u00fcglich der Verwendung von Titandioxid in Lebensmitteln fordern.<\/div>\n

Die Petition behauptet, diese Farbzus\u00e4tze stellten ein Risiko f\u00fcr die menschliche Gesundheit dar, insbesondere f\u00fcr Kinder. Die EDF argumentiert, dass synthetische Lebensmittelfarbstoffe mit Hyperaktivit\u00e4t und anderen Verhaltensproblemen bei Kindern in Verbindung gebracht werden und m\u00f6glicherweise auch zu Krebs f\u00fchren.<\/div>\n
