These changes aim to address health concerns related to Foods with Function Claims (FFC) containing red yeast rice.<\/p>\n<h4>Key Highlights of the Draft Revisions<\/h4>\n<div class=\"gap-2 flex items-center pr-1 leading-[0]\">\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Introduction of a New Definition<\/strong><br \/>The revisions introduce the term <em>&#8220;microorganisms raw materials,&#8221;<\/em> defined as raw materials produced through the cultivation or fermentation of microorganisms, including algae.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Guideline for Microorganisms Raw Materials<\/strong><br \/>Supplement-form foods containing &#8220;microorganisms raw materials&#8221; will be subject to a newly established <em>&#8220;Guideline for the Preparation of Product Standards for Supplement-Form Food Products that Use Microorganisms Raw Materials.&#8221;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>This guideline, an appendix to the existing GMP for Supplement-Form Foods, requires:\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing appropriate specifications for &#8220;microorganisms raw materials.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Developing validated analysis methods.<\/li>\n<li>Applying these specifications and methods to ensure quality when accepting such raw materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementation Timeline<\/strong><br \/>The revised guideline is scheduled for publication in 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, please contact REGASK.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die japanische Verbraucherschutzbeh\u00f6rde (CAA) hat die \u00d6ffentlichkeit um Stellungnahmen zu den vorgeschlagenen \u00c4nderungen der Guten Herstellungspraxis (GMP) f\u00fcr Nahrungserg\u00e4nzungsmittel gebeten.
