17 Cosmetics ingredients such as Tagetes Erecta extract, Tagetes Erecta oil, boric acid, and borate may be banned in China soon.
The National Institute for Food and Drug Control amended the list of prohibited ingredients in Cosmetic products and opened it for public comments till 18 Feb 2021.
Many of the listed ingredients have already been banned by the European Union. The purpose is to ensure the safety of cosmetics ingredients for human health and comply with global cosmetic trends.
