El 2 de septiembre, el FDA<\/a> Se aprob\u00f3 un nuevo aditivo colorante azul elaborado a partir de la flor del guisante de mariposa. Los principales componentes colorantes del extracto de flor del guisante de mariposa son las antocianinas, principalmente derivados de la delfinidina. El extracto tambi\u00e9n contiene flavonoles, principalmente derivados de la quercetina y el kaempferol como componentes menores.<\/p>\n

Actualmente se permite su uso en la coloraci\u00f3n de bebidas alcoh\u00f3licas, bebidas deportivas y energ\u00e9ticas, aguas aromatizadas o carbonatadas, bebidas de frutas, chicles, t\u00e9s, helados, etc.<\/p>\n

Los aditivos colorantes naturales existentes que se utilizan en todo el mundo provienen principalmente de fuentes que incluyen: extracto de espirulina, gardenia azul, extracto de flor de guisante de mariposa, galdieria sulphuraria y fruto de huito. Entre ellos, solo el extracto de espirulina (2013) y el extracto de flor de guisante de mariposa (2021) est\u00e1n aprobados por la FDA para su uso en alimentos y bebidas en el mercado estadounidense.<\/p>\n
