A ra\u00edz de una solicitud de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea, la Panel de la EFSA sobre Nutrici\u00f3n, Nuevos Alimentos y Al\u00e9rgenos Alimentarios (NDA)<\/a> Se le solicit\u00f3 que emitiera un dictamen sobre la l-carnosina de zinc como nuevo alimento (NF) de conformidad con el Reglamento (UE) 2015\/2283 y como fuente de zinc para su uso en complementos alimenticios.<\/div>\n

La poblaci\u00f3n objetivo fueron ni\u00f1os mayores de 12 a\u00f1os y adultos, excluidas mujeres embarazadas y lactantes.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
El Panel consider\u00f3 que el producto, un polvo con naturaleza particulada e insoluble en agua a pH neutro, no estaba suficientemente caracterizado, especialmente en lo que respecta a su forma particulada y su biodisponibilidad. En este contexto, el Panel no pudo confirmar que los datos de biodisponibilidad y toxicidad proporcionados fueran suficientes para evaluar la seguridad del nuevo alimento.<\/div>\n

En consecuencia, el Panel de la EFSA consider\u00f3 que el NF se absorbi\u00f3 y proporcion\u00f3 zinc, pero como estaba en una forma particulada insuficientemente caracterizada, no se pudo establecer su seguridad y no se determin\u00f3 su biodisponibilidad.<\/div>\n
