La directora ejecutiva de FSANZ, la Dra. Sandra Cuthbert, ha publicado una declaraci\u00f3n sobre las evaluaciones actuales del aspartamo realizadas por la Agencia Internacional para la Investigaci\u00f3n sobre el C\u00e1ncer (IARC) y el Comit\u00e9 Mixto FAO\/OMS de Expertos en Aditivos Alimentarios (JECFA).<\/div>\n

Ha informado de que, cuando se publique, el informe del IARC sobre el riesgo de c\u00e1ncer que plantea el aspartamo ser\u00e1 examinado por el JECFA como parte de su revisi\u00f3n. Expertos de la FSANZ est\u00e1n ayudando al JECFA con su evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos, que ser\u00e1 utilizada por los organismos de normalizaci\u00f3n alimentaria de todo el mundo para fundamentar las respuestas nacionales.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
La FSANZ esperar\u00e1 los resultados del proceso de revisi\u00f3n completo para evaluar si es necesario tomar medidas adicionales. Si se identifican riesgos inaceptables para el p\u00fablico, la FSANZ trabajar\u00e1 con socios del sistema de regulaci\u00f3n alimentaria nacional y agencias internacionales para tomar las medidas adecuadas.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
