L\u2019ajout d\u2019acide folique signifie que les aliments pr\u00e9par\u00e9s avec de la farine, comme le pain, contribueront activement \u00e0 \u00e9viter environ 200 anomalies du tube neural chaque ann\u00e9e, soit environ 20% du total annuel au Royaume-Uni.<\/p>\n<p>La farine non compl\u00e8te est d\u00e9j\u00e0 un vecteur bien \u00e9tabli de fortification au Royaume-Uni et les co\u00fbts de fortification pour l&#039;industrie devraient \u00eatre minimes. L&#039;ajout d&#039;acide folique aux aliments a \u00e9t\u00e9 une politique de sant\u00e9 publique r\u00e9ussie dans un certain nombre de pays \u00e0 travers le monde, comme l&#039;Australie, la Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande et le Canada, entra\u00eenant une diminution des anomalies du tube neural.<\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9tude sur la r\u00e9glementation britannique relative au pain et \u00e0 la farine est actuellement men\u00e9e par les responsables du Defra, du minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et des Affaires sociales, de l&#039;Agence des normes alimentaires et de l&#039;Agence des normes alimentaires d&#039;\u00c9cosse.
