Celanese Corporation Ltd. a soumis une p\u00e9tition \u00e0 l&#039;EPA en vertu de la loi f\u00e9d\u00e9rale sur les aliments, les m\u00e9dicaments et les cosm\u00e9tiques (Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, FFDCA), demandant une exemption \u00e0 l&#039;exigence d&#039;une tol\u00e9rance. L\u2019article 408(c)(2)(A)(ii) de la FFDCA d\u00e9finit \u00ab sans danger \u00bb comme signifiant \u00ab qu\u2019il existe une certitude raisonnable qu\u2019aucun dommage ne r\u00e9sultera de l\u2019exposition globale au r\u00e9sidu chimique de pesticide, y compris toutes les expositions alimentaires pr\u00e9vues et toutes les autres expositions pour lesquelles il existe des informations fiables \u00bb.
