New standards for fortification of processed food in India: #FSSAI published a Gazette on Fortification of Processed Foods, which covers milk, cereals, bakery, and juices product.

Food Business Operators shall comply with the provisions from 1 July 2021 by adding micronutrients to reformulate the product.

The new regulation also provides permissible levels of vitamins and minerals like iron, folic acid, zinc, vitamin B12, and vitamin A.
