The two guidelines are &#8216;ASEAN General Guideline on Food Contact Materials&#8217; and &#8216;ASEAN Guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for Food Contact Materials&#8217;. In terms of form, these two documents have borrowed from the European Union&#8217;s (EC) No 1935\/2004 and (EC) No 2023\/2006, as for content, they are similar to China&#8217;s GB 4806.1-2016 and GB 31604.1-2015. In ASEAN&#8217;s follow-up FCM legislation, it is likely to continue to adopt the management model &#8216;standards + positive list of materials&#8217;.
