The new amendments comprise: Prohibition of 14 ingredients Removal of 1 prohibited ingredient Restriction of 2 new ingredients including Methyl-N-methylanthranilate (M-N-MA) Revision of 1 permitted preservative Given that these new restrictions may require a reformulation of cosmetics or a change to their packaging. The European Commission provided a grace period till August 21, 2022, for the implementation. Additionally, as of November 21, 2022, products that do not meet the requirements must be withdrawn from the market.
