The Netherlands Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (NVWS) announced Nutri-Score as the new food choice logo in the Netherlands.
Nutri-Score is now the official food choice logo in the Netherlands, designated by the NVWS for use by manufacturers and supermarkets. It helps consumers make healthier choices and is implemented as part of the National Prevention Agreement.
Nutri-Score is originally a French system that is already used in several European countries (France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg).
