The European Commission added Cannabigerol (CBG) as a legal ingredient to CosIng. European personal care and cosmetics manufacturers can use CBG in their products with approval from the market regulator.
CBG is also known as the “mother cannabinoid” since it is the precursor to other cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBC, THC).
Earlier this year, naturally derived CBD and synthetic CBD had also been added to the CosIng Database.
