EU: Notifications to the WTO related to their plans to add ZPT to the list of prohibited substance

The European Commission submitted Notifications to the World Trade Organization related to their plans to add ZPT to the list of prohibited substance.

EU will make ZPT (Zinc Pyrithione) prohibited in cosmetic products. The European Commission submitted Notifications to the @World Trade Organization related to their plans to add ZPT to the list of prohibited substance, open for comments till 23 March 2021.

Zinc Pyrithione is often used as an anti-dandruff ingredient in rinse-off hair products. When the new regulation takes effect, relevant manufacturers may need to change product formulas.
