On 12th Nov, China issued the announcement to further strengthen the regulating on infant formula labeling; this announcement was issued on July 2021 for public hearing.
In this announcement, it requested that for stage 1 formula ( 0-6 months) can not make any claims, for stage 2 (6-12months) and stage 3( 12-36 months) can not make mandatory nutrients content claim and allowed to make optional nutrients claim.
Other requirements like the protein source for single animal species, compound ingredient labeling as well as the implementation date also defined in this announcement.
Relevant companies shall strictly follow this requirement and ensure labeling compliance.
