On 23 August 2021, the China Center for Food Evaluation, State Administration for Market Regulation published 21 common Questions & Answers on Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMPs).
The questions included categories such as below:
- Product ingredients: registration of milk protein hydrolyzed formula products; requirements for the labeling of the nutrition composition table; precautions for the product formula dosage table,
- Étiquetage: an explanation on product osmotic pressure, ingredient list, and formula features,
- Produce processes: if the production process includes heat treatment and which documents should be submitted.
