China’s National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) published its regulation draft which aims to regulate 11 types of new food additives, among them are:
- Four new varieties of enzyme preparations for the food industry (Phospholipase A1, Maltogenic amylase, Glucose oxidase and Lipase);
- And, seven new food additives with the aim to expand their scope and their permitted amounts of use, including silicon dioxide, carbon dioxide, turmeric, nisin, sucralose, plant carbon black and white oil (liquid paraffin).
The deadline for public comments to be submitted on the draft regulation is 4 September 2021.
