The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) is starting the model region competition “Food Transition in the Region”. Cities, communities and districts, but also social initiatives and private-sector organisations can apply with projects for healthy local nutrition that are based on the planetary boundaries.
Up to 12 million euros are available for the model region competition until 2026. BMEL wants to set impulses for healthy and sustainable nutrition on-site with the competition.
