New regulation on infant food in India: The FSSAI published a new regulation on infant food, infant formula, follow-up formula, and formula for particular dietary uses.
It includes nutrient, nutrient ingredient purity, and food additive requirements. It also states that food labels must show their products’ mandatory statements and warnings.
The new regulation comes into force immediately, and Food Business Operators (FBO) shall comply by 1 July 2021.
