In addition to contaminating a lot, plastics create debate. The well-known war between recyclers (industry) and environmentalists has intensified with the current Spanish waste regulation: Law 7/2022, of 8th April 2022, on contaminated waste and soils for a circular economy (LRSCEC).
Among the endless novelties that introduce this transposition, already delayed, of two European directives, that of 2018/851 and that of 2019/904 on waste and plastics of single-use, respectively, the most thorny is the tax issue.
