Switzerland to Loosen Restrictions on Medical Cannabis

Cannabis In Bottled Pills
On June 22, 2022, the Switzerland government announced the amendment to the Swiss Narcotics Act, which eases the ban on medical cannabis. This makes it easier for patients to use cannabis-based medicines.

As of August 1st, 2022, patients will be able to use cannabis-based medicines for therapeutic purposes without permission from the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Although, cannabis for entertainment or other uses is still illegal.
