European Safety Food Authority published a new guideline for the renewal authorization of feed additives.
This guideline provides applicants with the mandatory information to include in their application.
The renewal assessment is now simpler. It focuses on the safety of the product unless the applicant proposes changes to the additive (e.g., its manufacturing process or composition) or the conditions of the authorization (e.g., different target species, conditions of use, etc.).
The Guideline is expected to be implemented by 27 March 2021.
