The CAA announced that they will consider adding macadamia nuts to the Semi-Specified Ingredients for which an allergen declaration is not mandated but strongly recommended.
Prior to this work, the CAA is undertaking a survey to understand the current use of macadamia nuts in processed foods. This survey will end on 31 August 2023.
