Japan Seeks Public Comment on Revised Allergy Labeling for Walnuts

On October 13, 2022, Japan’s Consumer Affairs Agency (CAA) published the draft revision to allergy labeling requirements for walnuts. CAA will accept comments in Japanese through November 12, 2022.

 

Currently, it is only voluntary for food manufacturers and importers to include walnuts on the allergens label. However, it is strongly recommended by the CAA.
