Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) proposed a partial revision of the “Enforcement Rules of the Special Act on Children’s Dietary Safety Management” through Safety Notice No. 2023-411. Below is a summary of the proposed draft:
- Allows submission of an item manufacturing report in accordance with the Livestock Hygiene Management Act instead of a document confirming the name of the raw materials used and the proportion of ingredients in the composition when applying for quality certification of children’s food or reporting changes.
- Changing the name of the Central Food Service Management Support Centre to the Food Safety Management Agency.
The public is invited to submit their opinions on the amendment by October 4th, 2023.
