On 9 May 2022, the National Quality Institute (INACAL) opened a public consultation on the draft Peruvian Guideline PGP 110:2022. Guidance on the implementation of octagons in the labelling of processed foods.
This Draft Peruvian Guide establishes the minimum and characteristic requirements to be met by the labelling of all packaged food intended for human consumption, in the framework of the implementation of front-of-package labelling established by Law 30.021, and implemented by the regulation of the same, Supreme Decree N° 017-2017-SA. This Draft Peruvian Guide is applicable to the labelling of all packaged food intended for human consumption, in the framework of the implementation of front-of-package warning labelling.
This consultation will be closed on 7 July 2022.
