On June 23rd, 2023, The Dairy Standard Agency of South Africa added a combined list of acts, regulations and standards relating to food safety and quality aspects of milk and other dairy products, since the dairy industry is regulated by different government departments: the Department of Trade Industry and Competition, Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development.
Each one controls a specific component of the legislation governing the dairy industry through relevant Acts, Regulations and Guidelines.
