South Korea published a new draft on the Safety Review of Genetically Modified Foods

The draft is open for public comment until May 10, 2021.

The new regulation requires companies to:

• Clearly specify the specific ingredient or part of the genetically modified food that needs to go through the safety review;
• Set the range of toxicity in the data submission;
• Reset the format for the application form.
