On May 31st, 2022, Taiwan FDA proposed a draft amendment to the Genetically Modified Food Safety Assessment Methods. Below is a summary of the amendments:
- Removed the authorization basis for this method
- Points 1 and 2 from General principles have been revised
- Removed Point 3 Item 11 (Definition of “Nutrient”), where the original annotation is a reference.
Public comments are open until July 31st, 2022.
