The Thai Food and Drug Administration announced Instructions for use of the important components in food supplement products on the 26th of January 2022.
- Withdraw 1) FDA Announcement (7 August B.E. 2560 (2017)) Re: List of Plant allowed for food supplement and 2) FDA Announcement (22 August B.E. 2561 (2018)) Re: List of Plant allowed for food supplement (No.2).
- For the product submission process, can refer to the information of recommendation for the use of the active ingredients in food supplements per listed and detailed in annex without having re-apply for the safety evaluation or safety assessment.
A list of 423 active ingredients which specify name of the active ingredient, scientific name, source, process, and controlled condition can be found in the annex. The objective is to provide useful information and facilitate the request for permission to produce or import for distribution of food supplement products.
