Mexico – The Lower House Approves the Recreational Cannabis Bill

Cannabis leaf

Final approvals by the Senate and President are now expected. There is a high likelihood that the bill will get approved. If passed, it would legalize the recreational use of cannabis in Mexico, and make Mexico the world’s largest regulated cannabis market.

The bill will issue different operating licenses for those eligible (18+-year-old). These licenses will be based on the uses of marijuana, such as cultivation, transformation, sale, research, and import/export.
