US Publishes Priority Foods Program Guidance Under Development

Key labeling regulations and guidelines on food products with RegAsk
The FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) and Office of Food Policy and Response (OFPR) released a list of draft and final guidance topics that are a priority for the FDA Foods Program to complete during the next 12 months.
 
The list includes guidances relating to allergen labeling, foods made with GM plants, Plant-Based Alternatives to Animal-Derived Foods, Nutrient Content Claims for Added Sugars, and NDI Notification Procedures.
 
The agency anticipates it will publish these related documents by January 2024.
