National Health Commission of China published 50 new national standards. Three of them (GB10765, GB10766, and GB10767) are about infant formula foods, with a two-year transition period.
Overall, the main adjustments in this revision are:
– the publications of three different standards to regulate formula foods for 0-6 months, 6-12 months, and 1-3 years old kids;
– the adjustment of many nutrients indicators, among which added carbohydrate and lactose content requirements for follow-up formula foods.
